Thank you for expressing interest in becoming a member of STIP Association – Rijeka branch. The membership is open to all professional translators and proofreaders who accept the Statute, Code of Ethics and general legal acts of the Association.

Membership categories:
Full/regular members are the founders of the Association and those who are members on the day when changes in the Statute are made and who meet the requirements for full membership. The annual membership fee is 300 kn and the members are required to take part in at least three workshops and/or sittings during one year in order to stay in this membership category. The members have the right to vote at sittings, the right of publishing a public profile on the web pages of the Association and the right to other forms of unitary promotion. The members are added in info groups on social networks.

New full members are translators, court interpreters and proofreaders with at least five years of experience. Those who do not have a recommendation from a regular member/founder must also pass a translation practice test or a proofreading test. The translation practice test will be evaluated by an appointed committee based on the language of the translation, which consists of three members, that is two translators and one proofreader. In case of a proofreading practice test, the committee consists of three proofreaders. The annual membership fee is 300 kn and the members are required to take part in at least three workshops and/or sittings during one year in order to stay in this membership category. The members have the right to vote at sittings, the right of publishing a public profile on the web pages of the Association and the right to other forms of unitary promotion. The members are added in info groups on social networks.

Associate members are students and persons without enough experience in translation/proofreading who study Croatian or another foreign language at the University, or Translation Studies, or have a degree in any of the above-mentioned studies. The annual membership fee is 200 kn. Associate members have the right to participate in workshops at a discounted price and can take part in activities of the Assocation for the public (volunteering). Associate members do not have the right to vote at sittings.
