Members of STIP Rijeka offer high-quality written translations and have a long translating and interpreting experience and education<\/strong>. In case of a translation which requires a subject matter expertise (medicine, law, tourism, economy and other fields), pay attention to the area of expertise of the translator. Also, take into consideration that specialised translations related to a narrow topic require more time than general translations. In case of a large amount of texts and short deadlines, you can rely on a cooperation between our translators<\/strong> who share their work with colleagues in order to provide you with a high-quality translation as soon as possible. The price depends on the complexity of the document and it is based on the length of the text in the source language (the language from which it is being translated) and the number of the translated units. In accordance with the Croatian Association of Scientific and Technical Translators, one unit contains 1500 characters (including spaces).<\/p>\n

Court interpreters translate written or spoken text at the request of the court, state authority, legal or natural person from the language used in public administration into a foreign language, from a foreign language into the language used in public administration or from one foreign language into another. Certified translations of the following documents are often required: grades transcripts, university degrees, legal acts, certificates and medical findings.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our court interpreters have a long translating experience, the authority and all necessary licences to issue certified translations. Moreover, STIP Rijeka regularly organizes court interpreter training sessions <\/a><\/span>approved by the Ministry of Justice.<\/p>\n

Consecutive interpreting<\/h4>\n

The interpreter is standing or sitting close to the speaker and translates after the speaker has finished a part of his speech. Therefore, the interpreter not only has to have an excellent command of the language, but they also need to be skilled in public speaking and have excellent memory. In addition, they need to have an exceptional knowledge of the topic they are translating, so pay attention to the area of expertise when choosing an interpreter. Simultaneous interpreting<\/h4>\n

[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=”3.18.9″ custom_margin=”||0px” custom_padding=”||5px”]Simultaneous interpreting is used in events where the interpreting is transmitted to a larger group of people in real time while the original speech is still in progress. Therefore, this type of interpreting service requires technological support. The interpreters perform their job in sound-proof booths where they listen to the speakers through headsets and are translating the speech in the target language in real time using a microphone. The audience can hear the translation through their headphones. Considering that it is an extremely challenging type of interpreting, according to the interpreting-related standards you would need to hire at least two interpreters for one language combination who should alternate every 15 to 20 minutes. Whispered interpreting (chuchotage)<\/h4>\n

The interpreter is standing close to the person who needs to understand and is translating in real time while the original speech is still in progress, without the use of any technical equipment.
